I know this topic is old, but this is interesting to me so thought I'd reply. I built the Ashlaknights.net and Daoine Sith sites. I built these sites via FTP and notepad haha. During the Ashla years we experimented with a variety of CMS solutions (choosing none because, that was a loooong time ago and integration was tricky and mostly led to unsatisfying results). My day job does require basic data knowledge and application, as well as writing TSQL queries.

Cool, thanks Pathfinder. Web dev has come a long way from ftp and notepad, but it's good to know who has what skills moving forward.
