Evil of the Light

The Light Jedi - what thoughts come to mind when such a term is brought up? There are many misconceptions often arise when speaking of the Light Jedi. The most inevitable is that we our limited in our line of thinking. We are one-sided creatures which have denied human nature and simply surpress our own emotions and desires.

Many would argue how the Light Jedi are sick internally. Creating within themselves a being more hurtful and destructive than seen in any other aspect (or group). Many seem to believe that Light Jedi is about turning a blind eye, denying reality, and claiming things such as anger, pain, etc. do not exist. And if they do we cannot possibly learn from them.

For students on the Light Jedi path, do not be fooled by such things. And look at it is how often hold such views. More often than not they are not Light Jedi. And why is that? Because a Light Jedi knows that there is no value in simply regarding that which we do not agree with.

Paladin Vandor Draconis would tell you the value a person like Irvine has. The value his ideals have. And yet one would not point to Irvine and say, now there is an example of a Light Jedi. His is views ignored to the Light Jedi? Should such a person's views be ignored? Of course not. Nothing is gained by blind obeyence.

This is simply an example for all life and how a Light Jedi deals with it. We are faced continually with the horrors of life. Some of us more than others. We are tested by life and human nature on a daily basis. We find ourselves face-to-face with what man Light Jedi would classify as the Dark Side. Yet not one Light Jedi would advise you to turn a blind eye, to ignore the situation, or to simply accept the situation and move on. Before one moves forward we must learn, or we are doomed to repeat it.

A Light Jedi experiences emotion and passion. We are confronted with it. And our solution is not to deny such aspects of ourselves, but to acknowledge them. Accept them. And remember that we, ourselves, rule our mind and body - not the other way around. Because we have passion are we to blindly adhere to it? Because we feel anger are we to blindly act upon it?

The problem people have, is that the Light Jedi experience these things and do use them as lessons. Their lessons simply go a different direction than others. It is not denial, it is embracing our humanity. We simply do so in a different way. To assume that Light Jedi limit themselves is to automatically place oneself at a disavatange and hinder learning.

We, as Light Jedi, have dreams, hopes, passions (my own being the Jedi Path which is ironic in itself considering the Code). We have emotions - and no Light Jedi advises bottling up or ignoring said emotions. We look at emotion and passion objectively, logically. We see benefit, we see disavantage. We learn from many sources, many view points, and after years of experience, of experimenting theory, we develop our own methodology to help others acheive the goal of being a Light Jedi without all the failure (because through experience we have determined, in many cases failure is not needed for learning. And that fail will most likely happen in training regardless.) we went through to obtain said results.

A Light Jedi is not born out of ignorance and blind obeyence. A Light Jedi does not advocate surpression or denial of human nature. In fact for a Light Jedi to be of most use in this world they must be intimately familiar with such things, with the darkest places in their hearts and in the hearts of humanity in general. Denial of such things serves no one. And a Light Jedi will experience dark places and will be a better Light Jedi for it, if they are able to learn from it. To use the experience to better themselves and to help others.

So next time you see someone claiming all Light Jedi are limited. Know they are expressing the same ignorance they are trying hard to blame the Light Jedi with. And as a Light Jedi, remember it is in the darkest places that we are the most useful and gain the most understanding (of why) of our own ideals and methods.

(See links below for alternate translations) The Ineffable The Force- The Force is a loosely adapted term to explain something which all cultures agree exists, but disagree on exactly what it is. As such, a Jedi dedicates themselves to an understanding of all things within and through the Force. As a rule, no Jedi can set down in law a concrete definition of the Force for all to follow, only for themselves. Core Ethics Loyalty to the Jedi Code- This has a few different variants depending on what order a Jedi attends. A Jedi is bound by the code. By maintaining your loyalty to the code, you are able to keep your actions in check through the moral integrity of the Jedi Path outlined in the Jedi Code. It is important that a Jedi checks their own version of the code against the original codes…
