Balance in the Shadow

This is my take on all of this balance being an unhealthy extreme in itself as I saw someone post about somewhere.

The goal for a Shadow is not about balancing good and evil like: yesterday I did something evil, now I'll do something good. The thing is to realize that there is no such thing as a good and a evil. If you live that, why would you need balance? Balance is not a state, it's a process.

You might argue that why would we need warriors and knights if there is no good or evil. We might as well sit back and relax, take a few drinks and enjoy ourselves, nothing bad is gonna happen anyway. But we are a part of the world. We and the world are not separate, if we would separate ourselves from the world the process of balance would simply not work as it would otherwise.

Another thing that crossed my mind when I was new here was: if there is no good and evil, doesn't that mean we can do what the heck we want to, since it would simply not be 'evil'? After thinking about this for quite a while I realized that just because we do not look upon the world in terms 'good' or 'evil', but rather the true nature of things, it does not mean that. It does not mean we have no morale. We strive to be beyond morale, ethics, living with honor, humility and respect for others without really thinking about it. There is no respect because there is no Disrespect. There is no justice because there is no injustice. Of course, that is not the way it works in the world now but that is what we, or I at least, try to live.

(See links below for alternate translations) The Ineffable The Force- The Force is a loosely adapted term to explain something which all cultures agree exists, but disagree on exactly what it is. As such, a Jedi dedicates themselves to an understanding of all things within and through the Force. As a rule, no Jedi can set down in law a concrete definition of the Force for all to follow, only for themselves. Core Ethics Loyalty to the Jedi Code- This has a few different variants depending on what order a Jedi attends. A Jedi is bound by the code. By maintaining your loyalty to the code, you are able to keep your actions in check through the moral integrity of the Jedi Path outlined in the Jedi Code. It is important that a Jedi checks their own version of the code against the original codes…
